Audi TT Instruments/Cluster change issues

Hello guys!!

I hope here I can find a solution to my problem.

I have an Audi TT 8J MK2 3.2 V6 2007. I have a spare instrument cluster to change, it comes from an Audi TTS, so, basically, the only differences are color of the FIS/ODB from red to white, and some features.

Connecting the new cluster is easy, and works, but while trying to start the car, is where all the problems comes, as the word "SAFE" is displayed in the panel, so immobilizer gets into action, and car won't start but just for a few seconds.

Audi in Spain (La Seu d'Urgell - Lleida) couldn't do it, so I tried an expert in Andorra, which is also a collaborator from a company in Reus - Spain, and he tried 2 times with no success. He keeps telling me the TTS cluster is "blocked" so he can't access it to retrieve any kind of information from it, and reseting is doesn't make a difference.

I'm kind of desperate now, as it's been 4 moths, since I bought the new instruments, and unable to install them in my car.

I have the 7 digit pin code from both clusters, and also the keys with the immobilizer "pill" too.

Using VCDS asks us for mor info if trying to use the 7 digit PIN, is requesting more:

- 7-digit SKC that the Dealer retrieved for your exact Immobilizer ID Number.
- Date on which the 7-digit SKC was retrieved by the Dealer.
- Workshop Code (WSC) for the Dealer that retrieved the SKC.
- Importer Number for the dealer that retrieved the SKC.

So I really need either someone that has the knowledge on doing any of these things in France, near Toulouse would be great, so I can come and someone can do this for me, or to come with a solution!!

Please ask me anything you need from me in order to try to make this happen, and thank you very much in advance.

Please HELP!

Thank you naheem, problem is after using the PIN, it asks for all the things I mentioned in the OP (Original Post), also in the picture, and I don't have that, ONLY the PIN.

Suggestion?

Thanks paulodoria, problem is that what you mention on that link uses the 4 pin code, and I only have the 7 digit SKC code, which also requests for additional info:

- Date on which the 7-digit SKC was retrieved by the Dealer.
- Workshop Code (WSC) for the Dealer that retrieved the SKC.
- Importer Number for the dealer that retrieved the SKC.

So at this point I haven't been able to do this swap using VCDS. Other hardware has been used, and all info from original cluster is available, but the new cluster (TTS one) is or seems to be blocked, so there is no access to it, and impossible to retrieve any kind of information from it, this is where everybody gets stuck. By the way, Luis, the owner of AD Electronica in Andorra is Portuguese, do you want me to ask him anything in particular in order to help me any further? Sending the cluster to someone would help?

Hello Psycho,

I hope you read French!

Same in English http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...ent_Cluster%29

Problem is the same as described, where or how can I get this;

- Date on which the 7-digit SKC was retrieved by the Dealer.
- Workshop Code (WSC) for the Dealer that retrieved the SKC.
- Importer Number for the dealer that retrieved the SKC.

All can be provided by your VAG dealer.
You need:
The 17-digit, the VIN, and the 14-digit, the Immo-ID. (from your old cluster)

With this 2 codes go to your favorite VAG dealer and ask to him if he can generate your 7 digits pin.

Date is when the dealer have generated your pin, if it's tomorrow the date is: 5 may 2015.

Dealer knows his WSC code, he also knows his importer number.

In your screensot the code is 444, it's for USA.

Problem in Spain is they have no clue on what all these information is, but I have never tried to ask them to provide a code, as they will say the codes can't be seen since some years now, so.... I've been trying to do this since 3or 4 months now, and I'm very frustrated.... If I could get someone in Toulouse that could help me, I would go immediately.

Thank you for tryig to help me kitty-hawk!

I think the problem is that you need two 7 digits pin code, one from your TT and one from the TTS because the TTS cluster is not new.....

Psycho29 04/05/2015 19h16

And I do have them!!! But not the:

- Date on which the 7-digit SKC was retrieved by the Dealer.
- Workshop Code (WSC) for the Dealer that retrieved the SKC.
- Importer Number for the dealer that retrieved the SKC.

Psycho29 07/05/2015 12h57

Is there anyone here who can help me find someone to do this in Toulouse or near it?

piranha-- 17/10/2015 08h46

dont use skc, use pn.

there are tools that can read pin.

u need pin from new cluter and from car (old cluster or engine ecu).
Coding is just like golf v
