To install DiagBox 8.xx and/or upgrade the APP folder, any DiagBox version higher than 7.49 will be fine.
If you wish to install the APP folder ONLY (Lexia & PP2000) on DiagBox 7.xx, you can upgrade the APP folder only using APP 8.35 (see relative thread on this forum).

At some stage, you need to run DiagBox as Administrator, also ensure you have .NET 3.51 is installed. Are you installing on a real computer or a virtual machine? you may have hard disk corruption!!
You can check by running CMD as Administrator:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>SFC /SCANNOW
C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /b /f /v /scan c:
