I also had sound issue after update my MIB1 HIGH unit (Control Module Part Number: 8V0 035 043).
Solution posted by jacko with Service Menu also works in my unit, but my problem was connected with hardware.
I temporarily bypassed the problem by disabling speaker check in 5F - Adaptations and the sound came back.
