Lexia & PP2000 updates (Up-to DiagBox v8.37)

The software provided and the procedures proposed are intended for personal, educational and experimental use to install DiagBox 8.xx related updates. I hold no responsibility for any illegal or improper usage. Carry out this procedure at your own risk.

I present 2 compilations "APP_Update_817-837.EXE" and "APP_Update_835-837.EXE" (links in the attachment). Those executables are intended to update Lexia and PP2000 from version 8.17+ or 8.35 respectively, to the latest 8.37 and will bring Lexia v500.74 and PP2000 v600.79 to latest fixes or support level.

APP_Update_817-837.EXE update should be attempted if you have a working DiagBox v8.17 / v7.81 installation or higher, or if you have a working "APP-835.7z" implementation.

APP_Update_835-837.EXE update should be attempted if you have a working "APP-835.7z" implementation.

Procedure:
1- Ensure you have a backup copy of the file "C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\APPDIAG.SYS" before you start.
2- Download and execute the appropriate file for your own setup. The process will copy all necessary files to the updt folder, it will then automatically kill all associated processes to enable overwriting without conflicts.
3- Run DiagBox to start the update process and wait until DiagBox is operational. Close DiagBox and restart your computer to ensure all processes are running.

Done..! you may run DiagBox as usual..

Lexia language is set to English and PP2000 to french, if you wish to change them, edit the DICO.TXT file in the EXE folders of LEXIA or OUTILREP (PP2000) and replace "GB" with "FR" or vise versa.

P.S. DiagBox has been running on Firmware 4.3.4 since 7.66/8.02.

Pour infos les Maj de 8.17 vers 8.36 font 1,35 Go sur un disque dur soit 373 Mo bien comprimée.
Quelqu'un peux t-il poster une image de son diagbox 8.37 ? Vous n'avez pas la nouvelle interface de diagbox ?

First, I am sure I can talk on behalf of many on this forum when I say your contribution is welcome, and I am sure that people would like see more, especially new DiagBox releases.

You are correct about the huge size of the original update, but much of it serves the changes to the new interface and fixes integration of DiagBox with both Lexia and PP2000, not much to fix the tools themselves. You are also aware that Lexia and PP2000 engines are in the APP folder, this is reflected by the version number when you start the tool.

I don't know who is in the Auto business and who is a casual user (like me) in this forum. I am not claiming this is an update for all DiagBox, and I don't know if it will fix peoples' issues, but I offered what I can contribute in good will, hoping it will benefit someone somewhere.

My interest in this area comes from owning a Citroen C8, I bought the VCI in October 2014 to control costs and I only use it 3 or 4 times a year..

Once again, I do this for love, not for living..

je confirme à chaque mise à jour diagbox,des corrections sont effectuées pour PP2000 et lexia3 .la 307 phase 1 par exemple passe toujours par PP2000 dans diagbox .

Effectivement, il y a encore des correctifs sur les anciennes générations de véhicules.
Par exemple, j'ai vu dans la 8.37 une correction d'intitulé d'un défaut sur sid 801 de 2001.
Mais il y a quelques interactions entre diagbox et LEXIA/PP2000.

Update 8.36 is 90MB, and 8.37 is 65MB and the APP part is identical in both releases. However, it is listed on the PSA sites!! But if you are on version 8.31 (for example) and request an update, 8.36 is no longer listed!!!! The list will have 8.32, 8.33, 8.35, 8.37… update 8.36 is no longer available for download since last week.

The question here, if 8.37 is a fix for 8.36, then why is 8.36 is pulled out? It should still be available for download then the fix is applied, and if 8.37 is a replacement for 8.36, then it obviously does not have all the new functionality and fixes that 8.36 included.

Hence, I believe a new release (8.38 or something) should be available soon to implement the rest of the new functionality and fixes… The weirdest thing is the disconnect between updates availability and the listing on PSA sites !!??..

I am not sure I understand your message, it seems you have installed and updated successfully, but your issue is that DiagBox is reporting 8.17, instead of 8.37!!

DiagBox has either tried to connect and blocked the software or files were not over written properly due to the processes were not all killed before the update process.

Disconnect the network, restore your APPDIAG.SYS and start DiagBox again as Administrator.

I think if you install the update files from 8.17 to 8.37, you risk facing problems. The solution is to follow this procedure:

Moi aussi j’étais en 7.82 (mises à jours de Maitresox).
Suite au message ci-dessus de "Simple", j'ai suivi la procédure du lien qu'il donne==> copie du dossier APP (835) à la place de celui que j'avais (renommé en APP8).

Jusque là, tout va bien, Diagbox se lance (version toujours marquée en 7.82) et Lexia et PPS se lance bien aussi. Par contre impossible de savoir si je suis bien en 8.35.

Ensuite j'ai fait les mises à jour vers 837 puis 838, les mises à jours ce sont faites (avec du mal). Diagbox se lance toujours en 7.82... De plus j'ai des bugs de partout...

Après j'ai bien essayer de réinstaller à partir de 8.01 (renommer AWRoot7, lancer AWRoot_v7_Conf+Activation_v8.exe etc...), Mais j'avais des erreurs pour des problèmes d'activation...

Bref, j'ai tout supprimer.
Je suis en train de tout réinstaller à partir de 7.01 !! :13:

J'ai compris mon erreur pour la réinstallation 8.01 (et je viens de faire la même erreur avec la 7.01), j'avais complètement zappé q'il faut absolument installer les iso de Diagbox à partir d'un CD ou CD virtuel (style daemon tool), sinon on a la fameuse erreur :

"ERREUR LEXIA ERREUR LORS DE L'INSTALLATION DE LEXIA. VEUILLEZ DEVEZ VOUS REACTIVEZ POUR RELANCER L'INSTALLATION " (en fait les fichiers lexia.7z et pp20000.7z ne se copie pas dans c:\temp !!, on peut toujours les mettre à la mains et là ça fonctionne, mais bon, autant lancer l'install correctement depuis le début.

Si certains se font avoir, mon post les aideras peut-être à comprendre leur erreur...

Ensuite, les mises à jours vers 8.37 ou 8.38 ne vont pas==> le fichier de mise à jour s’installe, puis lorsque je lance "Diagbox" la mise à jour fini par échouer. Je suis obligé de réinstaller la mise à jour vers 8.17 pour retrouver Diagbox fonctionnel.

J'ai aussi essayé la procédure en copiant le APP de 835.7z, mais ça ne me permet pas non plus de passer en 8.37 et 8.38.

@ "simple": OK pour le changement de version.ini mais cela ne change pas mon problème de mise à jour.


Aurais-je loupé une étape ou un patch à appliquer ??

With DiagBox closed, Kill all DiagBox processes using the batch file (as Administrator), Apply the 8.37/38 update then start DiagBox to perform internet updates.

Any way, for DiagBox + Lexia + PP2000 to work, it is important that version is 07.xx and not 08.xx eg. (version=07.838). If you have version=08.xx, APPDIAG.SYS will be corrupted and need to be restored. This is explained in DiagBox 8.01 installation thread under versions.

With respect to update 8.36, I have a copy, but it was withdrawn by PSA because it was buggy and no longer available for download, and 8.37+8.38 were released instead.

I only included Lexia and PP2000 updates but not DiagBox, this is why you don't see reflection on DiagBox beyond 8.17.

The latest updates are 8.39 (44 mb) and 8.40 (33 mb) and I have both of them, but they don't have any update for Lexia or PP2000.

Après toutes les mises à jours, il était effectivement resté affiché en 8.17. Actuellement j'ai modifié en 07.838 (comme vous me l'avez conseillé).

Je ne pense pas que mon APPDIAG.SYS soit endommagé, diagbox ne me fait pas de problème de licence.

Donc voici les versions que je viens de relever dans mes fichiers:

Diagbox est resté en 8.17
Lexia s'est mis à jour en 500.74
PP2000 s'est mis à jour en 600.80

Si vous voulez que je test une de vos dernières mise à jour, je suis volontaire :2:

Depuis la version 7.62, le telecodage manuel sans connexion au serveur PSA est désactivé pour la plupart des véhicules.

Apparemment il y a des modifications à faire dans les dossiers des vehicules "C:\AWRoot\dtrd\tree\Vehicle\ " et "C:\AWRoot\dtrd\tree\Vehicle\SUREQ\"

Est-ce que les dernières versions 8 que tu nous donne sont bloqué de la même façon par PSA ?

Si oui, aurait-tu une idée des lignes à modifier (j'ai cru comprendre que c'est fastidieux si on veut faire tous les véhicules, mais au cas par cas c'est peut-être faisable...)

Tu parlais qu'il fallait éventuellement modifier FileName="script_telexx_ManualTelecodingConnected. s" IsCritical="NO" voire même d'autres valeurs

I have an old Citroen C8 2.0 HDi Diesel Exclusive. My Citroen is fine and don't really have problems with it. I only use DiagBox 3 or 4 times per year to perform some check-ups and occasionally perform Telecoding.

If I make program changes to DiagBox, I cannot test it, because I do not have access to another Citroen or Peugeot car.

I tried to understand the Telecoding scripts and posted my understanding on an English site. But one of the colleagues on this site (Thom@s) copied it and posted it here:

I was hoping people use it to make changes to their scripts and discuss them on the forum until all the right parameters are identified. Then we collect all these changes and put them in a special Telecode release..

Alas, no one is contributing, the reason is probably the hugely varying experiences and backgrounds, the forum is NOT being used for discussions, it is only for problem solving. I am sure this will be solved in few weeks and the scripts will be fixed in short time.

La langue de lexia est bien en FR mais les "mesures parametres" sont en anglais.

Le reste ( lecture defaut , identification, etc..) sont bien en français.

Véhicule : XSARA PICASSO 2l HDI 2001

Dès que je peux, je test sur un autre modèle de véhicule pour voir si encore présent.

If you wish to change the language through the menu in DiagBox 8.xx, you can do that after installing 8.01 or up****** to 8.02, the language menu works for versions up to 8.08.

After the PP2000 and lexia update 8.17 to 8.37 I am now getting an error

The JRE or JDK must be available in order to run Sim. No java vitual machine was found after searching the following locations jre7/bin

Any idea why this happen and how do I get around it

DiagBox 7.xx uses the old engines (Java 6 etc..), DiagBox 8.xx uses the newer ones (Java 7 etc..)..
In order to fully update your Lexia and PP2000, you need to install App-835 (which is the complete APP folder from DiagBox 8.35), then update it to 8.38.. Or, you can install DiagBox 8.17, then update 8.17 to 8.37, then 8.35 to 8.38.. (of course 8.35, 8.36, 8.37 are not necessary in this case, but they are harmless).

About the Telecoding, you can see that I tried to get people interested and thom@s re-posted my post but no body responded or contributed.

And for the DiagBox updates, if you try to install a new update from PSA, you will find that they replace existing files with newer ones by the same name.
Part of the problem is adapting the new versions of these files: AWFInterpreter_vc80.exe, actialc.dll, AWCore_vc80.dll, fr.actia.AWF.tags.core_vc80.dll'.
Basically, you need to add all/most of new files to DiagBox and make it work.. That's all.

1- Ensure you have a backup copy of the file "C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\APPDIAG.SYS" before you start.
2- Download and execute the appropriate file for your own setup. The process will copy all necessary files to the updt folder, it will then automatically kill all associated processes to enable overwriting without conflicts.
3- Run DiagBox to start the update process and wait until DiagBox is operational. Close DiagBox and restart your computer to ensure all processes are running.

Done..! you may run DiagBox as usual..

Lexia language is set to English and PP2000 to french, if you wish to change them, edit the DICO.TXT file in the EXE folders of LEXIA or OUTILREP (PP2000) and replace "GB" with "FR" or vise versa.

P.S. DiagBox has been running on Firmware 4.3.4 since 7.66/8.02.
