For a Renault Megane III 1.6 dCi with Bosch EDC17C42, a used donor ECU will first be prepared with a verified virgin EEPROM. Launch X431 shows injection ECU replacement and programming-related functions for this vehicle family. Has anyone confirmed whether Launch can complete the immobilizer learning of a correctly virgin EDC17C42 when the original ECU is missing, or is Renault CLIP secured learning still mandatory? I would also like to know which live-data states should be checked before attempting adaptation: key recognized, UCH authorization, injection locked/unlocked, and VIN status. The goal is a standard ECU replacement, not immo-off.
