BSI - EEPROM 95160 replace/switch for C3, 2002, 1.4petrolKFV
Hi !
I hope someone can answer me at these question: Question : Is it possible to remove the EEPROM 95160 from at partly damaged BSI and solder/mount it in a new(used) BSI and resolve the immobilizer problem. (After browsing the web I understands that all the immobilizer data are saved in the EEPROM 95160, - but maybe are the immobilizer data stored in several places in the BSI unit, I haven't found a proper solution) ? Thanks for your interest ! Reg. Rune S. - Norway http://citroenc3owners.com/resources/image/992 |
On most of bsi it's possible, exept that one in 99% of case when you desolder the eprom ic it will be blank, need to recode with diag tool !
I got this many times. Please don't forget to read rules and put an avatar and full location. |
Thanks Fondateur, may I should give it a try ?
Anything I can do to avoid erasing the eeprom, maybe proper wire to earth ? Reg. Rune S. - Norway |

Hi !
Of note: I have changed eeprom95160 from a BSI(1) to another BSI(2) with the result that eeprom95160 data was deleted. This work is NOT recommended....... re. Rune S. - Norway |

Hi Runsun, the only way to get it back up and running now it to flash a 'virgin' BSI file to the 95160 EEPROM the re-configure with PP2000 or Lexia.
You will need the security code tho, you can get that from the ECU, which is stored on a small EEPROM in there. You'll need to read it and pop the file into ImmoTool or similar program and get the code from that. |
some cars run and some not, delete eeprom, really not a good way
