Hi, I change my car ECU to used one bosch 06f 906 056 this ECU was used on bora 2005 automatic car, my car caddy life 2011 manual , how I can decode this ECU to work with manual transmitter as I have many problems for this , thnx

by the way I can easy read the EEPROM from this ECU if this can help

Post part number of the original one, then I could tell you are they fit each other.

What was wrong with the original ecu ??
Can you pull original dump & flash from original to put in new ecu ?
If this doen't work then ecu is not compatable

Recoding ECU needed. I useing VCDS. Read coding in old ECU and write to new.

You have a few different way to do it, you can desolder eeprom+flash , you can clone it use bdm , you can do adaptation in vcds, those all way will work only if ECUs hardware are same...

dont think a 2005 ecu will be same as 2011... as long they apear similar i really dont think hardware will be the same. what is the real problem with your caddy's ecu?

you have few options.
to check ecu type edc16u1, u31 ...
if same type of ecu then you have options to make clone of your ecu to new used ecu, with this option you will solve all problems with coding and other stuff. but for this option you need to have tool which can clone that type of ecu.
next thing is to send here eeprom from old ecu and new ecu, so we can check ecus.
third thing is to disable immo in eeprom and to use vcds and to read original codings from old ecu and to recode new ecu with original numbers.

it is up to you to decide and to told us what kind of tools you have so we can help you.

05-11 ecu will be cpmpletly different.
