Lexia & PP2000 (from DiagBox 8.35)
 

I have attached the APP folder from DiagBox v8.35, it includes Lexia v500.74 and PP2000 v600.79. This arrangement should work with any DiagBox v7.xx and/or DiagBox 8.xx, I have tried it on my own car and it seems to be working fine.

The attachment within this post includes a link to the "APP" folder and a batch file to kill all DiagBox processes.

If you wish to try it (at your own risk and having taken all precautions!):
1- Use the attached “Kill_DiagBox_Tasks.bat” to stop all DiagBox’s processes.
2- Rename your current “C:\APP” folder to “C:\APP8”
3- Extract the downloaded APP-835.7z to “C:\” so that you have “C:\APP”
4- Restart your computer and run DiagBox as usual.

Have fun!

The language is set to English, if you wish to change it, edit the DICO.TXT file in the EXE folders of LEXIA or OUTILREP (PP2000) and replace "GB" with "FR".

If you wish to revert to your original setup.
- Kill all processes again using the wicked batch file
- Rename the C:\APP folder to anything or delete it
- Rename your C:\APP8 back to C:\APP
- Restart the computer and start DiagBox.

P.S. DiagBox has been running on Firmware 4.3.4 since 7.66/8.02.

I have tried this on a number of machines without a problem. I hope you did not make changes in "AWRoot".

Restore your backup copy of "APPDIAG.SYS", if it still does not work, then restore the old APP folder and restore APPDIAG.SYS.

Please provide me with your setup details and what did you try, I will try to replicate what you have done to see what is the problem.

By the way, make sure you are running DiagBox as Administrator.

I have few test installations, but only one Citroen C8 car.. I did test update 8.35 on my car on Windows XP, 7 and 10.. and I have no problem..

I do not know if other cars like Peugeot 207 have problems or not, but other users can try.

Salut, j'ai testé sur C8 CAN ok.

Après la manip décrite par notre ami simple pour mettre lexia et pp2000 en FR, tout est ok.
Test télécodage sur abs ou bsi ok.

Par contre, j'aimerai savoir si cette mise à jour mets seulement pp2000 et lexia à jour ou ça mets également diagbox à jour ?

Avant, l'appli ne se connecté plus à internet et maintenant, diagbox cherche à se re connecter souvent. C'est pas trop grave mais c'est lassant. J'ai tenté avec le tlcd.fix de notre ami scary mais c'est pareil.

Je continu les test puis je vous tient informé.

Thank you DIAGAUTO33 for your effort and reporting back. The update only updates Lexia + PP2000 and all associated engines such as SIM, JAVA etc...

There may be one issue, which is relevant to language coding from 2 to 5 characters (FR or fr_FR), this may be a concern specific installations and only affects DiagBox not Lexia or PP2000.

I found the best way is to install DiagBox 8.xx then update APP to 8.35. This way every thing works well together and all your files are original and not manipulated or changed.

J'ai la version 7.82 de notre ami maitresox.

Si tu as la solution pour installer et activer la version 8.xx fonctionnelle, je veux bien tenter l'ami.

No it is not impossible to install DiagBox v8.xx, I already wrote how to do that, it is much tidier on other sites because I can edit and update my posts (which I cannot do on this site).

However, v7.82 should not have problems with this APP folder update..

I am not sure I understand PSA's procedure with respect to updates and their availability.

I downloaded "inter8_36.rar" last week, the French site announced it on Tuesday while it is still not announced on the English site!!!

However, for the past 3 days, it is no longer available for download. I hope they did not discover a bug that necessitated pulling it back.
